16th Nov 2019 - 17th May 2020 The Bowes Museum is truly honoured to be holding the first major retrospective exhibition of works by a North East artist who’s one of the most respected and best loved of the 20th Century.

An action packed open air night show of dazzling proportions. 100 cast and crew present a storytelling journey of 2000 years with mass choreography, pyrotechnics, spectacular lighting and water effects.

11 June - 9 October Another major fashion coup for this summer, the Museum is the only UK venue outside London that will stage this exhibition before touring internationally to the USA and China.

The Bowes Museum and the Fondation Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint Laurent have collaborated to create Yves Saint Laurent: Style is Eternal, the first exhibition in the UK to present a comprehensive display of the French fashion designer’s work and life. The YSL show highlights the defining elements of his vision, and the significant influence it has had on fashion and the way we understand womenswear.
