Our self catering Holiday Cottages are set in beautiful rolling unspoilt countryside in Lower Teesdale on the Durham/Yorkshire border. Conveniently situated within easy reach of Northern England's most beautiful scenery and historic sites, including the North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales, Durham Cathedral, Barnard Castle, Richmond, Hadrians Wall, Newcastle and the Lakes. Locally there is an abundance of walking and cycling routes through peaceful lanes and quiet limewashed hamlets with everything from a Michelin-starred restaurant, to welcoming local pubs, restaurants, farm shops and cafes.

Dating back to the early 1600's, Church Cottage sits next door to the church, which overlooks the pretty village green of Gainford and is just a stone's throw from the delightful River Tees.

Cheeseborough House

A wonderfully preserved early 19th century, grade two-listed weavers cottage

Located in Thorngate, one of the oldest parts of historic Barnard Castle, with views over the River Tees just a few metres away, retaining many of its original features.
