Now in its 13th year, Bishop Auckland Food Festival is a two day celebration of local food, producers and chefs and set in a historical and scenic market town, it’s a favourite in the foodie’s calendar. Stalls offering local, regional and seasonal produce, cookery demonstrations from professional chefs and food-related fun for young foodies too.
This year BAFF features lots of familiar faces as well as some exciting new additions, with an expanded street food and artisan drinks quarter. You’ll be able to eat your way around the world from America to Greece and Thailand to Mexico, as well as sample some of the finest regional cuisine, courtesy of the North’s foremost producers.
There’s also be plenty keep you entertained while you wander the market thanks to a terrifically tasty programme of events and activities. This year includes a better than ever range of food and drink masterclasses in everything from chocolate-making to creating sushi and posh kebabs.
