Our self catering Holiday Cottages are set in beautiful rolling unspoilt countryside in Lower Teesdale on the Durham/Yorkshire border. There are two luxuriously appointed stone built 18th century converted barns, sleeping 8 and 7 guests, these are separated by open fields and a wild flower meadow teeming with wildlife. They are great for family gatherings and celebrations. Our village property is 16th century Church Cottage which can sleep four guests. It occupies an idyllic setting on the quiet green in the historic village of Gainford. All three properties are 5 star Gold rated by Quality in Tourism.
Conveniently situated within easy reach of northern England's most beautiful scenery and historic sites, including the North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales, Durham Cathedral, Barnard Castle, Richmond, Hadrians Wall, Newcastle and the Lakes. Locally there is an abundance of walking and cycling routes through peaceful lanes and quiet limewashed hamlets.
